XERF™ Skin Tightening

XERF medical aesthetic system by Cynosure Lutronic with a touchscreen console and two handpieces.

What is XERF™?

XERF is an advanced non-invasive RF lifting treatment designed to correct ptosis — the natural drooping and loss of firmness in ageing skin. Powered by next-generation radiofrequency technology, XERF delivers precise thermal energy deep into the dermal layers to stimulate collagen regeneration and restore a lifted, more youthful facial contour. As a safe and effective alternative to surgical lifting, XERF provides noticeable tightening benefits with minimal downtime, making it a popular choice for patients seeking non-surgical facelift solutions.

How XERF Works?

The XERF™ system uses MONOPOLAR radiofrequency (RF). Monopolar enables RF energy to reach deeper targets. When high-frequency energy penetrates tissue, it generates heat, causing the skin temperature to rise. Collagen regeneration is initiated by thermal effects—including collagen contraction, protein denaturation, and fibroblast activation—which occur when the dermis is heated

Key benefits include: - Lifting and tightening of mild to moderate sagging skin - Enhanced jawline definition and facial contouring - Improved skin elasticity and firmness - Smoother, more refined skin texture - Long-lasting collagen remodelling results

Fitzpatrick Skin Type

RF has a low risk of complications and a high safety profile. RF does not target specific chromophores and can safely treat all skin types. Determine your Fitzpatrick skin type before we get started: Skin Type I: Fair skin, red or blond hair, blue/green eyes, never tans, always burns. Skin Type II: Fair skin, sandy-light brown hair, green/brown eyes, occasionally tans, usually burns. Skin Type III: Medium skin, brown hair, brown eyes, often tans, sometimes burns. Skin Type IV: Olive skin, brown/black hair, brown/black eyes, always tans, never burns. Skin Type V: Dark skin, black hair, black eyes, never burns. Skin Type VI: Black skin, balck hair, black eyes, never burns.

Technique We Use

Steps to Begin Treatment

1. Attach the Neutral Pad to the patient: The single-use patient pad should be in full contact and applied evenly with the skin. 2. Apply Ultrasound Gel: Apply a thin coat of Parker's clear Aquasonic Ultrasound gel to the patient's skin to allow for smooth gliding strokes of the handpiece. We'll use a stamping technique for precision and possibly sliding on more sensitive areas.
